Cinema e Divulgação Científica???

Filme inspirado em livro de descendente de Darwin chega ao Brasil em março
O filme "Criação", que conta a história do cientista britânico Charles Darwin e está estreando nos Estados Unidos, foi baseado no livro "Annie's Box", escrito por Randal Reynes, tataraneto do criador da teoria da Evolução.A obra, que ainda não possui edição nacional, se concentra no relacionamento do naturalista com sua família, em particular com a perda da filha Annie aos dez anos, e como essa tragédia influenciou a visão de Darwin sobre a religião. A adaptação para o cinema chegará ao Brasil em 26 de março e tem Paul Bettany e Jennifer Connelly no elenco.
E Randal Reynes não é o único descendente do cientista a escrever sobre o antepassado ilustre. Seu pai e bisneto de Darwin, Richard Keynes, organizou a obra "Aventuras e Descobertas de Darwin a Bordo do Beagle", que traz diários e registros, além de desenhos e pinturas feitos pelo naturalista e por outros viajantes do HMS Beagle.
Outros livros que tratam dessa famosa viagem, que foi determinante para a criação da teoria da evolução descrita em "A Origem das Espécies", são os dois volumes da série "Viagem de um Naturalista ao Redor do Mundo".
